Carbon Detectives investigate Slough school success!
Working in partnership with the Carbon Detectives we have offered our support to their competition which encourages schools to show case their activities and gain recognition for their performance and innovative CO2 reduction.
The competition aims to:
- encourage creative thinking and widescale pupil engagement across the school in reducing its carbon footprint
- showcase possible solutions to the “carbon crisis” that can be adopted by other schools and businesses
- create some momentum within each participating school that continues beyond the timings of the competition; and
- educate and empower young people with regard to Climate Change and the actions that can be taken to reduce its impact.
This year MONTEM SCHOOL in Slough won the First Prize of special Kids Litter Kits. “We are so pleased to have been placed First this year and thank The Helping Hand Company for the equipment. It is great for the children to be awarded for all their hard work' said Kim Barnes from Montem School.
